Sometimes a piece of clothing isn't for you anymore. Sometimes that is a piece of clothing that is made by hand.
And SOMETIMES it is crochet….and it finds it's way into my clutches!
This gorgeous poncho was donated to No Crochet Left Behind by one of my amazing instagram followers.
This beautiful stained glass window coloured poncho was crocheted for Uttam London. Yes… it has a brands label in it, but it doesn't mean that it didn't take hours and hours to make. In fact...it did…. And the person who made it probably wasn't paid anything near what they should have been to make it. ALL the profits from this sale will go to ActionAid to support women and girls worldwide, who generally speaking are those involved in this sort of labour.
Measurements are excluding fringe.
Neck to longest point - 85cm
Neck to shortest point - 64cm
I wear a 12/14 and this felt a good size on me, would be a lovely oversized item for a size 8/10.
I would wash very gently by hand/wool cycle on machine on a low setting. I also recommend washing ALL crochet inside a pillowcase to avoid snagging.
