The cutest little summer cherries charm, perfect to accessorise your bag, your keys or even your jacket.
Materials
3mm hook
Large eyed needle
Scissors
5g Red Yarn
5g Green Yarn
Small amount of stuffing
Abbrieviations
Ch - Chain
St - stitch
SS - slipstitch
DC - Double Crochet Stitch
HTR - Half Treble Crochet stitch
Tr - Treble crochet stitch
Cherries (make 2)
MC4
R1: 2dc into each st (8)
R2: 2dc into each st (16)
R3 - R5: Dc around (16)
R6: DC2TOG around (8)
Stuff
R7: DC2TOG around (4)
Stalk
Ch37
Ss into ever st starting at the 2nd ch.
Leaves
Ch19
Dc into the 2nd ch from hook, dc in the next st, htr into the next st, tr into the next 3 sts, htr into the next st, dc into the next st, ss into the next 2 sts, dc into the next st, htr into the next st, tr into the next 3 sts, htr into the next st, dc into the next 2 sts, turn around the end of the leaf to work into the other side of the starting ch.
Ch1, Dc into the 2nd ch from hook, dc in the next st, htr into the next st, tr into the next 3 sts, htr into the next st, dc into the next st, ss into the next 2 sts, dc into the next st, htr into the next st, tr into the next 3 sts, htr into the next st, dc into the next 2 sts. Fasten off.
Making Up
Create all the parts above.
Sew your stalk to one of the cherries, thread on your swivel clasp (if using), and then sew the other end of the stalk to the other cherry and fold your stalk so both cherries are hanging together. This ensures your swivel clasp is on securely.
Put the leaves between the stalk about a centimetre down from the fold, catching the swivel clasp in that top section. Sew the leaves between both sides of the folded stalk to secure them.
